The Cards Call It LIKE IT IS!

I received my first Tarot deck when I was about 11 years old. I had no idea that this small phenomenon would follow me throughout my adult life and would help guide and serve my higher self in seeking esoteric console. But even at such a young age, I understood there was something mystical and deeply intriguing about the cards and their interpretative meanings. My previous experience had been with oracle cards, which were simple enough to gather insight from. But it took me several years before I would fully grasp how to use and understand tarot~ and I’m still learning! Tarot has several applications, most commonly I have seen it help others gain insight on certain personal issues. relationships, lifestyle, health, traumas, karmic lessons, soul purpose, mindfulness and spiritual wellbeing.
How I Practice Tarot:
I’ve found it highly important to be centered before starting a reading for an effective and clear message. I recommend using a pair of Tibetan healing cymbals to align and clear all chakras, ensuring that each ring radiates through each chakra and reverberates through the eardrum and pineal gland. When I hear this, it very much tunes and opens the ear canal I can feel the change in pressure in my ear as it strikes the bones within the ear drum. At this point, I also have the sage and palo santo goin’ and have some incense and candles lit as well. Everyone has their own flare or style they prefer to do their tarot. I like mine to feel really organic so I’ll typically keep the structure loose. I used to only cut the deck three times and then spread them out (as pictured above) and select a card from the pile that best stood out and spoke to me. I have found this technique mostly useful for oracle. For Tarot, I will cut my deck and then shuffle until the card falls out as I state my intention or question. Typically, I like doing a 12 card spread for a full reading, for a simple question reading I pull 3 cards, for a week reading 7 and for a calendar 12. But I am not set to this structure and will encourage the flow of the cards wherever they take me.
What about Reversed Cards?
I do typically like to take note of a card when it is in the reversed position. While not every deck has a reverse side description, but if offered I will read both in the reading as I like to address the dual possible outcomes of a situation, usually that is where the important key lesson or takeaway is.
Which Decks Do I Use?
Currently, my main go to is a signed Lady Luna Wolf Poppet Tarot Deck which is very chatty and energetically charged. I like the incorporation of the four elements and zodiac signs within the cards as well as the loaded style used to convey message within white magic poppet imagery.
I use the Herbal Tarot Deck by Michael Tierra for general readings and for asking questions related to health and herbal remedies. This deck will present cards based upon intuition and energetic values.
Next in the lineup I have Alchemical Tarot by Rosemary Ellen Guiley with Robert M. Place 1st Ed. Inspired by the spiritual alchemy of the Rosicrucians. I enjoy this deck for its symbology and incorporation of the four elements.
For readings on relationships, I select Decameron Tarot for its unique erotic artistry and interesting interpretations. I find this deck unfiltered honesty amusing and helpful.
I also have Catouche, Kabbalah (Tree of Life), traditional Rider Waite, my first Tarot Deck from Running Press and Earth Warriors Oracle.
